Lockups

While conducting a routine audit of Google’s identity elements I discovered that there was little to no unification for the way lockups were created. For example, the spacing in Google Maps was different than the spacing in Google Drive. My goal was to develop a system for creating lockups based around the width of the “G” in Google. This method ensured that spacing, color, and size would be universally consistent for all of Google’s product and program lockups.

A lockup may include an icon, logo, product, or program name.
